The Ministry of Defence Police is a civilian police force, with responsibility for the policing, security and armed protection of the UK`s defence assets and personnel. It's a role we take very seriously, and one for which we believe only the most level-headed, responsible people are suited. With so much at stake it's vital that you have the right personal qualities. You'll also need good fitness and bags of enthusiasm. Our Entry requirements

  • Minimum age 18
  • British Nationality
  • Good health and physically fit
  • Prepared to work at any UK location
  • Have lived in the UK for the last 5 years (Excluding overseas service in the armed forces)
  • Applicants must be willing to undergo security clearance up to the required level, and to carry firearms

Flexibility is also required, as you could be stationed anywhere in the UK during your career. Currently most of our vacancies are in the Thames Valley and London areas, for which an additional allowance is available.
